The word of the day is biff:


Etymology:  Imitative.
slang.
1.a. trans. To hit, strike. Also to biff (a person) one. 
b. fig. To deal a blow to, to refute, to ‘stump’ (see also quot. 1895). 
c. To throw. Also intr. Austral. and N.Z. 
2. intr. To go, proceed. Esp. with off, to leave, depart. 
3. The verb used adverbially with go, in the sense of ‘with a violent blow’.  (OED)
